Career
Haluk Can Özel is a co-founding partner of Özel & Özel. Özel represents many leading multinational companies investing and doing business in Turkey, large size local conglomerates, local companies doing business abroad, and large family businesses.
His activities at Özel & Özel focus on the areas of law of banking and finance, corporate and commercial, litigation and dispute resolution, information technology, manufacture and industry services, private equity, real estate, telecommunications, where he advises on the sectors of automotive, banking and financial institutions, consumer products and retail, hotels, leisure and tourism, information technology, and wealth management of large family businesses.
He acted as the managing partner of the Istanbul office of Altheimer&Gray, a Chicago based US law firm between 1993 and 2003 and Salans (now Dentons) a multi-national law firm between 2003 and 2011.
He is the author of the chapter on Turkey in “International Execution Against Judgment Debtors” by Oceana and the chapter on Turkey in “Company Law in Europe” by Butterworths.
